Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on 13 December 1989 in West Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for the past 20 years. The stories she tells of her young love and heartbreak have gained her widespread popularity in the 21st Century. Swift's love for music started in the early years of her life. From children's plays to appearing in front of crowds, Swift made rapid progress. Swift was eleven years old when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. In the following year, she began writing songs, and also picked up the guitar. Swift was inspired by artists in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and, more recently, the Chicks to create original material that expressed the apathy she felt at the age of 13. Swift was just 13 when her parents made the choice to dispose of their Pennsylvania farm to relocate towards Hendersonville Tennessee. She could then devote all of her time to reaching out to label labels from the country scene in Nashville.
